create a new text file in your Dawn of War directory called DCfix.regĬode: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 locate WH40kWA.exe and move it to the same directory as WH40k.exe $cabextract /media/cdrom/WinterAssault3.cab clean up your Desktop (or wherever you extracted the cab file to (usually $HOME/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/THQ/Dawn\ of\ War\ -\ Dark\ Crusade/) find the file WH40k.exe and cut-and-paste it into your Dark Crusade root directory leave the terminal open since we need it for Winter Assault $cd Desktop (optional - this next step will spam whatever directory you're in with a LOT of junk files) open a terminal and run the following commands:

Wine and cabextract are both open-source and freely downloadable.
